Cukrarna Hostel

Cukrarna, the sweetest hostel (cuker means sugar in Slovenian language). House was renewed in 2003 into sweet shop. Best sellers that time was torta, potica, gibanica, struklji, pita, sladoled. (Slovenian traditional desserts). In 2011 we open door to turists all over the world as hostel. To keep the sweet tradition of the house we named all our 8 rooms after the traditional Slovenian desserts. We are situated in the old town centre of Kranj, the capital of Upper Carniola region in Slovenia. Kranj is between Ljubljana (25km) and Bled (30km), two of the main tourist attractions in Slovenia. The Ljubljana airport is only 7 km away! That gives our town/and hostel unique position; you can do daily trips wherever in Slovenia and come back to cozy nice hostel. We have 5 double rooms and 3 dorms (4, 6, 8 beds) on two floors. Each floor has 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets. If the hostel is not crowded we give you your personal bathroom. Ground floor has lounge, kitchen, terrace and two toilets and serves as meeting point for the guests.
