Engimýri Lodge

This year, the guesthouse will be reopened after a break of few years. In the new Engimyri, we want to create a place with a family atmosphere, friendly to people and animals. We offer breakfast with homemade food and a lunch and dinner menu. Our restaurant is open every day from 11:00 to 14:00 (lunch) and from 17:00 to 21:00 (dinner). We cordially invite you to our little end of the world! Animals are always welcome with us! Engimyri Guesthouse is located in the valley of Oxnadalur, right by Highway number 1, only 34 km west of Akureyri. Comfortable rooms are furnished with made up beds and TV's. Hiking trails and other activities The lakes of Hraunsvatn and Thverbrekkuvatn are in walking distance from the Guesthouse, with its ample fishing, free of charge. The scenery in the valley is breathtaking and there is plenty to explore as there are several hiking trails in the vicinity. Hunting is available in the fall and the swimming pool at Thelamork is only 15 minutes away. Guesthouse Engimyri opened on the 6th of june 1992 Oxnadalur is the name of the valley where Engimyri Guesthouse is located.
