The Eltermere Inn

A warm welcome awaits you at The Eltermere Inn. This low-key 12 bedroom hotel offers peace and tranquillity alongside an abundance of contemporary elegance. Many of our individually styled rooms have stunning views over gardens, fells, lakes and Elterwater. We are located quietly on the edge of Elterwater village with uninterrupted views over the lake yet only 10 minutes from Ambleside’s shopping. Wrapped in beautiful gardens with views over Elterwater lake, we are perfectly placed for walking the Langdales' pikes and Loughrigg Fells or relaxing with afternoon tea, homemade cake and a good book. Dining with us is a joy either in the dining room overlooking the lake and gardens or by the fire in the cosy bar. Our food is smart but unfussy, and is contemporary cooking at its finest. Join us for lunch or dinner and enjoy an inspired menu using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. (non residents and well-behaved canines welcome)
