No.131 is a trio of beautiful Georgian townhouses set on the promenade in the heart of Cheltenham and is The Lucky Onion's flagship hotel and restaurant. Classic on the outside, contemporary British on the inside, this home from home provides the perfect balance of sophistication and fun. Opened in 2013, the main house hums with activity throughout the day. On the upper ground floor you'll find the elegant restaurant, bar and drawing rooms and with 11 individually designed and spacious bedrooms gracing the floor above. Downstairs discover our Gin and Juice bar, our own little Den of iniquity, strong house cocktails, over 400 gins on the menu to work your way through and open until late over the weekends with the best DJs in town. In March 2019, No.131 expanded into the Georgian townhouse next door. Named 'The House', this immaculately restored new opening added 8 individually designed bedrooms into the mix. With a slightly more masculine tone yet with all the same bells and whistles. At the back of The House is a brand new terrace complete with outside grill, look forward to sun-kissed shoulders, rose and the best of British fare in the summer. The House is a unique event space fro up to 150 guests and has a wedding license too, so you can hire the townhouse exclusively. At the end of 2019 came the further addition and final expansion of No.131 - Kings House, bringing with it 17 further individually designed bedrooms including family suits, equally fun and sophisticated. The epitome of relaxed luxury, each of the 36 bedrooms feature sumptuous Egyptian bed linen, beautiful Bramley & Aqua Di Parma products and either roll top baths or walk in showers. Choose a grand Georgian bedroom overlooking Cheltenham's leafy gardens or a cosy hideaway with an antique Rogeat Lyon rolltop bath hidden in the eaves, every detail has been accounted for with unique pieces of furniture and original artworks from William Kentridge, David Hockney, Sir Peter Blake, Banksy and Henry Hudson. Each room blends classic comforts with modern essentials. All rooms come with Bose speakers, Nespresso machines, HD TV, Dyson hairdryers and a mini-bar stocked with treats. Our produce throughout is carefully sourced from British suppliers as close to home and Organic where possible, handpicked by our passionate Chefs. Whether it's an indulgent supper you're enjoying or a comforting brunch, the fresh ingredients bring the dishes to life.
