Windarra on High

Windarra on High is located in the prestigious area of East Launceston, the property was built in 1876 and is heritage listed. The property is the longest running accommodation house in Launceston and has over the years had different names. The name Windarra is the original name and is Aboriginal for west wind. We have six bed and breakfast rooms all in different styles reflecting the heritage and todays taste. All rates include a continental breakfast which is served in the dining room( the dining room is currently closed until covid19 restrictions are fully lifted) Only a short walk to the city centre and just 15 minutes by car from the airport makes this a great starting point for you Tassie holiday, there is so much to see and do hear in Launceston especially if you are a food and wine lover, or just enjoying a walk through the famous cataract gorge and a light lunch at the cafe watching the peacocks walk by displaying their colours.
