La Civetta

La Civetta” looks down on Agropoli, the Gulf of Salerno, the Amalfi Coast and up to the island of Capri from its hillside location. Great Italian philosopher, Gian Battista Vico once meditated here among the brilliant colours of the sea and the Lattari Mountains, with his nose turned to the sky and his hair immersed in the blue sea.We are situated 4km far from Agropoli city center, 10km south of Paestum on the route to the ancient city of Velia and the seaside town of Palinuro. Not far away is Tresino (ancient Trezenia) and Licosa Point (ancient Leucosia). The path today still tells the great story of the ancient Greeks that visited our shores centuries ago.
