Arnside Independent Hostel and Study Centre is a family owned hostel which maintains links to the former owners the Youth Hostel Association (who continue to market our tourist offering as YHA Arnside). Located in a large Edwardian house above Morecambe Bay, we are perfectly situated and boast great views of the Lake District mountains. A real find for budget accommodation, group, individuals and family breaks if you love Lake District holidays but could do without the summer crowds. It's a good touring base for activity breaks in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, and if you're into walking holidays there are plenty of walks nearby. Take the opportunity of a guided cross-bay walk and experience being where the tide will cover for a different view of Morecambe Bay, a different view of life. Also fantastic, is the walk round the coast and back over the Knott, just 2 hours but it seems like a whole walking holiday! Those looking for birdwatching holidays will enjoy the RSPB reserve, Leighton Moss and butterfly lovers shouldn't miss Arnside Knott. Spend the evenings relaxing in the lounge, tv room, 5* self catering kitchen or terrace or choose from a large selection of indoor and outdoor games as well as pool or darts in the games room and enjoy good food in our licensed restaurant or drinks from our well stocked bar.
