Le Vieux Château

The Hotel du Vieux Château, located in the Gorges du Verdon, in the heart of the charming Provençal village of Aiguines, has been welcoming tourists from all over the world for more than thirty years. Indeed, this building, formerly a post office relay in the 18th century, is located in front of the village fountain, which allows passers-by to appreciate the freshness and the beautiful rolling of the water in the shade of the plane tree. A little further on, on a bench in front of the town hall, one can admire the lake of Sainte-Croix and in the distance the plateau of Valensole where, in summer, lavender turns blue. The hotel has about ten comfortable and quiet rooms, with a view of the village or the lake, and is open from April to October. The restaurant offers Provençal specialities and vegetarian dishes made with local products, while favouring organic farming and livestock breeding whenever possible. At the bar, we offer ice cream, home-made pastries, a wide range of hot and cold drinks, and beer* from the Gorges du Verdon. The Hotel du Vieux Château offers WIFI connection and television in each room. Pets are welcome. The hotel has a yoga room where daily sessions are given by a qualified teacher. Outdoor meditation practices are available on request.
