Lettisches Haus

For more than 60 years the Latvian House in Freiburg im Breisgau, southern Germany has been the meeting place of Latvians living in Europe. The old villa, located nearby the Zähringen castle ruins, was originally built in 1894 for the German poet Emil Gött and was later converted into an active Latvian culture centre and hotel. Freiburg is conveniently located close to the German borders with France and Switzerland, and it is also a three hours drive away from Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Belgium. Therefore this hotel is a great place to stay for three or more days and enjoy the beautiful nature and countless cultural sights in the closest vicinity. Lettisches Haus is a family friendly, non-smoking hotel and to provide peaceful atmosphere we do not have TV in our rooms. If you arrive with public transportation, it is important to know, that Lettisches Haus is approximately 4 km away from the city centre and almost 1 km away from the nearest public transportation.
