Fjord Hotel is a small family hotel in Alta — built on Norwegian "tillit" the same quiet trust that lets mountain cabins stand unmanned for hikers and honesty boxes sell strawberries at the roadside. Your door code is sent ahead of arrival; self check-in opens at 4 PM, after which the entrance is yours around the clock. We sit between the historic Bossekop area and the Altafjord shoreline, with Alta Airport just minutes by car — your basecamp for the Northern Lights, the fjord and the long midnight sun.
