Welcome to Boat-hotel De Barge, definitely Bruges’ most original hotel. De Barge, which formerly plied the Bruges-Ghent canal, is today a well-known character three-star hotel, which floats on the Bruges-Ghent Canal. 750 meters from Bruges Railway Station. Easily reachable by car due to its location near the old ramparts of the city. The central Market Square and the Belfry of Bruges are within 20 minutes on foot from De Barge. Entering the old city center can be done via park “Minnewater”, also known as The Lake of Love. The non-smoking cabins at De Barge have a nautical atmosphere with its typical boat decorations and blue colors. All the rooms have windows looking out on the canal (except the 5 Cruise Cabins at the Quay side), a private bathroom, and a little desk area. Guests can relax at the lounge, and have a drink at the honesty bar. In the morning, you can enjoy a breakfast buffet with fresh breads, eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheeses, juices and fruits. Have a nice cup of coffee or tea while you watch the boats drive by on the water.
